BRITISH AMBASSADOR OF PANAMA DAMION A . POTTER 

Mr Damion Potter was appointed Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Panama in August 2017. Prior to this, Damion was Deputy Representative and Director of International Trade in Taipei. Previous postings include Moscow and Sweden. Damion holds a Masters degree in 20th Century History and a BA Honours in History and French from the University of Warwick.

DAN J . MITCHEL

Dan is Chairman of the Center for Freedom and Prosperity, a pro-market public policy organization he founded in 2000. His major research interests include tax reform, international tax competition, the economic burden of government spending, and other fiscal policy issues.

Having also worked at the Heritage Foundation and Cato Institute, he has decades of experience authoring papers, writing editorials, working with the public policy community, and presenting the free-market viewpoint to newspaper, television, and radio media.

Dan has spoken to a wide variety of groups in dozens of cities and more than 50 foreign countries. He also serves on the editorial board of the Cayman Financial Review, and holds a Ph.D. in economics from George Mason University.

MICHELLE  KHAFIF

Michelle graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor’s degree in advertising and communications, she moved to New York City working as Jr. Strategist in Play Big Inc, a business innovation consulting firm, working close with the C-SUITE of established companies such as Energizer and Nestlé, creating strategic approaches to adapting and navigating the new consumer mind-set.

She returned to Panama in 2014, and produced the first space of local Panamanian brands called Creado En Panama. She also joined forces with Diablo Rosso, creating SuperMini DiabloRosso, a store which quickly became known as the window display of Local Talent, with more than 100 emerging national brands.

Today Michelle is the head strategist and director of MUTA, a commercial consulting firm for the new economy, focusing on the development of brands, commercial strategy, and architecture of experiences helping companies to innovate and adapt in an ever changing market.
